Tia's Dancewear has been creating fashionable dancewear for over 16 years. Based in Youngstown, Ohio, Tia's is proud to be manufactured in the USA. With everything manufactured onsite, Tia's is able to produce comfortable and stylish dancewear without sacrificing quality. We use only the best fabrics to increase the lifetime of your favorite dance ensemble.

From The Beginning
Being a home economics major in college provided Geri Slavin with the training and creativity necessary to produce quality garments. She would design and sew clothing for her 3 little girls growing up. They would be decked out for every holiday and family event in a Geri Slavin original. Raising these 3 little girls become a full time job until the youngest finally reached high school. With all three in dance, the next chapter of Geri's life was about to begin.

Geri's youngest daughter starting competing for Linda Diamond's Academy of Dance. She was on the road traveling from competition to competition when she realized what was missing in her daughter's dance drawer at home: fashion! With this, S.I.T., Inc. was born.

SIT, Inc. is the parent company to both Step in Time and Tia's Dancewear. Step in Time started producing custom warm-ups, bags, and hats all embellished with silk-screening and embroidery. From Step in Time emerged Tia's Dancewear. Tia's Dancewear manufactures fashionable dance apparel for all ages. With her artistic mind and great business sense, Geri has turned her two companies into recognizable brands that both parents and kids prefer.

To Today
Tia's Dancewear can be found all over the country from California to New York and everywhere in between. In the past 3 years, Tia's has expanded internationally to Australia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Mexico, Germany, and Norway. In addition to dance retail stores, Tia's can be found at most major dance competitions nationwide including Starpower, Nexstar, Co.
